The Intruders
« Back

The theme of this sometimes confronting series is a universal one: introduced species and how they behave when they run wild, their effect upon man and the ecology.

Early voyagers to the shores of Australia sailed in veritable Noah’s Arks. Their ships carried much-needed domestic livestock that they often left on coastal islands around the continent to provide food for unfortunate castaways. Once European settlers stepped ashore on the east coast of Australia with their domestic livestock such as Rabbits, Goats, Camels and Donkeys it began what was to become a devastating impact on native species that has lasted to this day.
